***AVAILABLE NOW*** Dakota is our longest resident and has been with us for over a year now. We are shocked that this beautiful blue eyed boy has been over looked for so long! Dakota is a 2 yr old Husky/Yellow Labrador Retriever mix male and weighs approx. 65 lbs. Dakota was rescued from our local kill shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He is a beautiful boy with bright blue eyes! He is playful, loyal and intelligent. He does well with children and gets along with most other dogs. He will need a home without cats, chickens or any other small critters. This is a Death Row Dog, currently enrolled in a prison training program at the Green River Correctional Complex, in Central City, KY. Each dog lives in a cell with two trainers. This is a 12-week intense training program that is designed for the dog's unique behavior needs as well as basic obedience, house training, crate training and of course, tricks. This dog will be given a Canine Good Citizen test prior to graduation.
